You are required to have at least 1 year continuous full-time or equivalent part-time experience within 10 years preceding the application in your occupation. You must have performed the essential duties in the lead statement of the appropriate National Occupation Classification (NOC). You will also be required to have the appropriate settlement funds, unless you have a valid job offer to work in Canada. More Info

Federal Skilled Trade

You may qualify if you are a tradesman or craftsman such as a welder or electrician or other recognized skilled trade, have the necessary training and a valid offer of employment from up to 2 employers for continuous full-time work in Canada for at least 1 year, or hold a certificate of qualifications from a recognized Canadian authority. You may become a Permanent Resident if you obtained at least2 years’ full-time work experience in a skilled trade occupation during the 5 years preceding the date of application. More Info
